    A game of Chess….

    Korean Chess board

    Korean Chess board

The Soap Stone Chess board above I inherited from my late father. My Father was stationed in Korea after his tour of the Vietnam War. He was very fond of Korean Culture.
I learned to play chess when i was a youngster. on almost any computer or device i own, there is a chess application.

awkward segway to poetry: My Father (while stationed in Korea) and I have both written poetry as a hobby.
In high school i spent i great deal of free time trying to decipher T.S Eliots the Wasteland

“change occurs when one becomes what he is, not when he tries to become what he is not” – WW2 veteran and doctor Arnold Beisser.”…..
The story I was once told was that, After World War 2, Beisser spent his life in an iron lung..
looking to continue to contribute and serve, he chose to become a licensed doctor and council others in Mental health therapy. Little is written about his life on the web, that i have been able to read.
